An exceptionally beautiful 18k gold snuff box. Continental made with marks on the rim, possibly Swiss. The condition is very fine with no damage, marks, repairs or wear. The enamelling on the top is exquisite; this box has to be seen to be appreciated. It is double opening, both 11 part hinges are perfect and both lids close very tightly. The box looks as if it has never been used. It probably dates to around 1800.

An exceptional silver table snuff box of pillow form with profuse castings around the top and sides. Made in 1833 by Nathanial Mills in Birmingham. This box is in near mint condition with very little wear to the high points, there is crisp guilding inside with some faint surface scratches and good hallmarks on the top and bottom. The 23 part hinge is undamaged and the box closes tightly. The inscription reads "Presented by the inhabitants of Airdrie to John Russell Esq., one of the Ballies as a token of grateful respect for his amiable manners as a gentleman and his indefatigable zeal, ability and impartiality as a Magistrate. 14th Oct. 1835".

One of the best boxes I have had.

A beautiful silver gilt snuff box made by Lee & Co in 1819 in Birmingham. The box is in great condition with no damage or repairs. It has its original gilding on the inside and outside with a little wear to the high points. The hallmarks are crisp and the 11 part hinge is in very good condition and the box closes tightly. There is a classical scene cast on the top.

An exceptionally fine large silver gilt table snuff box in mint condition with no damage or repairs. The box was made by Thomas Eley in London in 1850. There is virtually no wear to the classical scene of nude bathers on the lid. Overall the gilding is excellent but may have been regilded at some early time. The 11 part hinge is perfect and the box closes tightly. There are a full set of crisp hallmarks on the bottom and the makers mark on the top. The engine turned bottom has no wear at all.

A rare Georgian silver snuff box by Joseph Wilmore of Birmingham made in 1822. It is in mint condition with very little wear to the high points and the original gilding inside with only light surface scratches. The cast scene is of a maid and a seated gentleman smoking a pipe. It has "James Bett" engraved on a small cartouche on the bottom. The 13 part hinge is excellent and the lid closes tightly, the hallmarks are good on the bottom and lightly stuck on the top. Overall the box is in very good condition with no damage or repairs.

A scarce example of the famous Georgian silver snuff box called the "Pedlar" by John Linnit, made in London in 1825. This is made from a good gauge of silver and being at least 0.5oz heavier than other examples. The box is in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny dings to the edge. The hallmarks are crisp on the inside of the top and bottom, it also has part marks on the lid beside the Pedlar's head. The 15 part hinge is very tight and the box closes well. The crests on the front are for Baronet Hervey-Bathhurst of Clarendon Park in Wiltshire. This is one of the best examples of this box you will find.

A very scarce bullet tea pot by possibly Scotland's greatest silversmith James Ker, hallmarked for Edinburgh 1742. The quality of workmanship is exceptional with amazing attention to detail - see the top of the original handle and the strainer inside the pot. The chasing around the lid of the pot is crisp as are the hallmarks and there is also the assay masters mark (Edward Lothian). There is no damage or repairs, the hinge on the lid is good and the lid, although has some play, fits perfectly.

It has its original gilding on the inside and a full set of crisp hallmarks under the foot. The mug has no damage or repairs.
